Security Policy

We want you to feel completely at ease doing business with us over the Internet. We know that security is a major concern to many of our customers and have therefore put a system in place that is far safer than giving your card to a waiter in a restaurant. Shopping at TOFFS is safe and secure we use the latest technology (which is the industry standard security protocol) to protect your credit card details. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology encrypts all of your personal information into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet.

When you've finished shopping and begin the checkout process you will move into the secure area of our site. A warning window may pop up to notify you that you are entering this "safe" area. Once you've entered, the page address (URL) will change from "http" to "https" to let you know you are in a secure area. Also, a key or a closed lock will appear in the lower left hand corner of your screen to notify you of this change. You will remain in this secure zone for the entire checkout process.

We do now store encrypted credit card details in order that we can provide customers with a refund without needing to contact them for card details. They are not available to view, apart from the last four numbers and the encryption used meets the rigorous industry standard compliance level.

We do take security seriously, but as the Internet is based on open communication, we cannot guarantee communications between you and us will be free from unauthorised access.

Alternative ordering

Some versions of browsers and some firewalls don't permit communication through secure servers. If you are unable to connect to a secure server or if you prefer not to pay online, simply call or fax your order through.

3D Secure

So that all online credit and debit card transactions are protected by the highest possible levels of security, we've implemented Verified by Visa (vBv) and MasterCard SecureCode (SecureCode). Together these measures are known as 3D Secure. 3D secure is a new security programme that allows you to create your own personal password, known only to you, for use as an extra security measure each time you use your Visa or MasterCard (including Maestro) to make a future purchase online.

How does it work?

You only need to register with vBv and SecureCode once to create your password for each of your relevant payment cards. Then whenever you shop online using your registered cards you'll be asked to enter the relevant password as an additional validation before the order is confirmed. Simply follow the instructions that appear once you have submitted your order. The details you enter in this process will be submitted to your card issuer over a secure link and can not be viewed nor will they be held by TOFFS.
