Eusébio da Silva Ferreira, known by the playing name of Eusébio, (born January 25, 1942 in Lourenço Marques [now Maputo], Mozambique) nicknamed "The Black Pearl or "The Black Panther" is a Portuguese football icon.
He is considered to be one of the best of his time and is arguably one of the great all-time players.
His trademarks were his speed, quick dribble and a fierce, tremendously accurate right-footed strike.
Eusébio wore number 13 for Portugal and number 10 for Benfica.



Eusebio's goals fired the Portuguese the their first ever World Cup in 1966 where his 9 goals ensured he finished as top scorer and Portugal got their best ever finish of 3rd.
